What should I watch when removing the rear wheel of an E-14 bike?

Switch the e-bike system off, take the battery out and separate the shift unit's plug at the rear wheel. Then remove the wheel just as on any SPEEDHUB — the shift unit stays on the hub.

Removing and fitting the wheel

An E-14 wheel comes out just like any SPEEDHUB’s — you only need to disconnect the electronics safely first.

Removal

Switch the e-bike system off and take the battery out.
Separate the shift unit’s plug at the rear wheel — see Cables and connectors.
Remove the wheel together with the shift unit: Removing the rear wheel.

Fitting

Refit the wheel in reverse order: Fitting the rear wheel.
Join the shift unit’s plug and fix it to the frame, clear of the spokes and brake disc.
Put the battery back and switch the system on.
