Sending your hub by courier
If you live outside Budapest or abroad, you do not have to bring the bike in. We also accept the hub by courier, and after the service we send the part back ready to ride — so you can use our expertise from anywhere.
1. Agree the details first
Section titled “1. Agree the details first”Before sending anything, call us on +36 20 284 3048 or use the contact form. We agree what to send, the work you want, and how it comes back.
2. What to send
Section titled “2. What to send”- The removed rear wheel, if we need to work on the wheel as well — lacing, replacing spokes, or when you are not sure what the fault is.
- The hub alone, if the work concerns only the hub and we have agreed it that way.
Removing the wheel is no harder on a SPEEDHUB than on a conventional hub, but the torque support and the shift cables make it worth going step by step. If you get stuck, call us.
3. Pack it well
Section titled “3. Pack it well”Put a note in the box with your name, phone number, email address and the work you want. Pack the axle ends and the sprocket so they cannot be damaged in transit or tear through the box.
4. The way back
Section titled “4. The way back”You receive an invoice for the work done, and we send the wheel or hub back by courier, ready to ride.
Frequently asked questions
- I live outside Budapest. Do I have to bring the bike in for service?
- Not necessarily. We also accept units sent by courier. The details need arranging in advance, but often it is enough to send only the removed rear wheel or the hub itself, well packed. After the service we send it back ready to ride, so you can use our expertise from anywhere in the country.
